Meet The Breed
If you're interested in owning a Phu Quoc Dog, or you are just wanting to meet the breed, we have compiled a list of owners willing to act as ambassadors.
These owners are doing a great service for the breed by volunteering their time and resources to make it possible for interested parties to get a feel for what this incredible breed is like.
Meeting the breed gives you insight into:

Basic temperament (particularly how they react towards strangers, their focus on their handler/owner, environmental sensitivity, etc)

Coat texture/shedding levels

Size
-
Energy levels
It also gives you an opportunity to ask the owner specific questions regarding what it's like to live with PQRs, what the breed community is like, and if there is anything they wish they had known before getting involved with the breed. It's important to do research on any pet before you jump into ownership, and the internet and online forums are great tools for gaining knowledge. However, getting to meet at least one individual from the breed you are interested in is an invaluable experience.

As well-bred litters of Phu Quoc Ridgebacks are being bred and placed in homes in North America, this list will continue to grow!
